Apple’s Third-generation iPad: Retina Display, 5MP Camera, Wi-Fi + 4G

Following the success of iPad 1 and 2, Apple has recently introduced the third-generation iPad. Released on March 7, the latest mobile device features the fascinating new Retina display and Apple’s new A5X chip along with 5MP iSight camera with advanced optics and Wi-Fi + 4G connectivity.

Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide marketing, claimed, “The new iPad redefines the category Apple created less than two years ago, delivering the most amazing experience people have ever had with technology.” He added, “The new iPad now has the highest resolution display ever seen on a mobile device with 3.1 million pixels, delivering razor sharp text and unbelievable detail in photos and videos.”

Compared to its predecessor, the iPad 2, the third-generation iPad’s Retina display offers pixel resolution at four times higher than the ipad 2, resulting in richer, deeper, and more vivid display, either for images or videos, web pages or texts.
The 5MP iSight camera, added with advanced optics, ensures stunning pictures and full 1080p HD video recording. The camera is equipped with backside illumination to guarantee great photos captured under low-light condition, as well as a new image stabilization for both still images and videos. Meanwhile, the powerful new A5X chip with quad-core graphics promises fast, responsive user experience in support to the amazing Retina display.

Of all, the third-generation iPad is also enhanced by Wi-Fi + 4G LTE connectivity which offers the most comprehensive support for incredibly fast networks worldwide. Better still, now both CDMA and GSM iPad users can easily roam internationally. The connectivity also ensures blazing download and upload speed.

The third-generation iPad is already available at price rate starting at £329 (about IDR4.7million). dpreview.com
