Nikon Officially Unveils D800 & D800E

The rumor about Nikon launching its newest camera, the Nikon D800, turns out to be true. Just today—two days before the opening of CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show 2012 in Yokohama, Japan—Nikon officially unveils the highly anticipated D800 along with the D800E.

Addressed specially for professionals, multimedia photographers and videographers, the Nikon D800 HD-SLR boasts a combination of extreme resolution (36.3 MP FX-format CMOS sensor), excellent image quality, and brilliant video recording ability. Built with EXPEED 3™ −Nikon’s latest image processing engine, the camera ensures fascinating images with faithful color, a wide dynamic range and extreme resolution. Offering amazing accuracy, functionality, and image quality, the Nikon D800 is also enhanced by its 51-point AF system for outstanding sharpness, color and clarity.

Videographers, in particular, will also find benefits from the Nikon D800 as it offers lightweight design equipped with extensive video features to support them in creating devoted videos even in low-light setting, such as the Full HD 1080p video recording ability, full manual control and uncompressed HDMI output.

In addition to the D800, Nikon will also soon release the Nikon D800E, a supplementary model offering even higher resolution and versatility.
