Rode VideoMic HD for Serious Audio with HDSLRs


Taking videos with HDSLRs will soon become better and more satisfying as Rode is said to release the VideoMic HD for use with HDSLRs. The upcoming mic is designed to overcome the problems commonly faced when using dual system mic setup, such as the sound quality, monitoring, and all in-camera audio concerns.

The features to build in the Rode VideoMic HD will include integrated digital recorder, high-frequency ‘boost’ switch for distance recording, high-level headphone amplifier for monitoring, and many more. The features will ensure good sound quality while also allow users to monitor the audio process with headphones directly from the mic.

The Rode VideoMic HD will also feature ultra-lightweight metal casing built with quick release mounting system.
