This year’s Nikon Small World Competition has provided a series of selected entries for public voting.  The 115 entries are the finalist photos chosen out of the so many other entries submitted for the competition, all depicting the tiny world seen through a microscope.

First held in 1974, the Nikon Small World Competition has the slogan “Recognizing Excellence in Photography through the Microscope” to respect “the efforts of those who turn microscope photography (photomicrography) into art”. The judges have decided the winners, while the collections of photographs shown are provided for readers to vote for the Small World Popular Vote Award.

Nikon has grouped the entries for the vote into series of collections (the one you see here is called the “Lives within a Drop of Water”). You can give your vote until October 31 at the latest. neatorama.com
