Samsung & Google Announce Galaxy Nexus, the Android 4.0 Smartphone


Partnering with Google, Samsung has just announced the latest product in its smartphone line, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Announced at a joint event in Hong Kong, the smartphone stands under Google’s Nexus flagship and is the first smartphone to run on the newest Android 4.0 operating system introduced as “Ice Cream Sandwich”.

Built in with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and a 1GB RAM, the Galaxy Nexus comes with a large 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED screen. Its photographic features include dual camera—a  5 megapixel rear-facing camera a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera—and an amazing 1280 x 720 resolution.  It also offers some new features, including the ability to take screenshots by holding the power and volume down buttons, zero shutter-lag, and an intuitive panoramic shooting.

The Galaxy Nexus is the third Android smartphone—after the HTC Nexus One and the Samsung Nexus S—Samsung has developed in tandem with Google engineers. The product is scheduled to release in November in the US, Europe, and Asia. Price is yet to inform.  huffingtonpost.com
