Old Photo Listed on eBay Said to Prove Nicolas Cage is A Vampire
People are often attracted by old photos for their historical value or merely by their antique aged look. However, when someone sells photos said to have mythical issues, it may attract more buyers while also raise controversial talks, making it even more popular and valuable. It happened just few days ago that someone listed an old photograph—taken during the Civil War era—on eBay saying that the photo might be a prove that the world-renowned actor Nicolas Cage is a living undead or vampire.
The full description reads: “Original c.1870 carte de visite showing a man who looks exactly like Nick Cage. Personally, I believe it’s him and that he is some sort of walking undead / vampire, et cetera, who quickens / reinvents himself once every 75 years or so. 150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult, or a talk show host.”
The photo listed was highly talked about and it went viral for the subject’s resemblance to Nicolas Cage. It went so popular that it was about to sell for US$1 million on the Buy It Now price. Unfortunately, apparently eBay had pulled the listing out off the website. What do you think? Do you take the photo historically, artistically, or mythically? Or do you think that it was only one of the creative ideas to attract buyers on eBay? You decide.
