Panoramic Picture Holds the “World’s Hugest Picture” Record
Stands at 30 feet tall and 111 feet long, the photograph entitled “The Great Picture” holds the record of “World’s Hugest Picture”. The panoramic picture was once displayed in the Art Center, Pasadena, US, and again in the Culver Center atrium.

The picture is a panoramic view of an old Marine Corps air station and the San Joaquin hills behind them. When installed as an art work in the Culver Center atrium, it was hung in a sweeping U-shaped curve that viewers could just walk right into it. Such installment provided more impression apart from its enormous size; viewers were like taken into the middle of a parallel universe with a different point of view and more chances for interpretation.
Apart from its low resolution, “The Great Picture” offers an astonishing experience for its viewers, especially for its so many picture “layers” it has got within its image, which all could be seen once the viewers walked into the curved display.
