New Nikon Af-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G for Fast Macro Ability


Today, Nikon has just introduced the new MELVILLE, N.Y. (July 12, 2011) – Nikon Inc. today introduced the new macro lens—the AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G—addressed for macro photographers. Comes in lightweight body design at an affordable price, the lens promises macro capabilities with high details and general portraiture for Nikon DX-format shooters.

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.53ft (6.4inches), the lens allows photographers to capture close-up pictures and record HD videos with a 1:1 life-size reproduction ratio. Lisa Osorio, the general manager of marketing at Nikon Inc., claims, “This new Nikkor lens is an ideal accessory lens for those who are ready to explore a totally new perspective, whether it’s extreme close-up detail or general still images and movies with flattering out of focus elements.”

The compact lightweight design the lens bears (only approximately 9 ounces in weight) makes the lens an ideal complement to any DSLR kit used by DX-format shooters as it provide compact optics delivering brilliant color reproduction along with outstanding sharpness. It also ensures beautiful artistic bokeh when shooting close-up details.
