New Olympus E-PL1s Micro Four Thirds Camera

Olympus Japan has announced the E-PL1s compact system camera and the M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II silent-focus lens. The Olympus E-PL1s is actually a Japan-only model, which is mostly a cosmetic update of the E-PL1, having the silver band on top and sides changed to the body color.

The new Micro Four Thirds camera features 12.3-megapixel sensor to capture still pictures and record 720p videos, up to ISO 6400 sensitivity, a new Lithium-Ion battery, an SDHC memory card slot, a built-in image stabilization and a 2.7-inch, 230k dot rear preview display. Available in red, white, or black, the Olympus E-PL1s will be available in April 2011 and bundled with a new M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II silent-focus lens.  aperturedaily.com
