The Beauty of Indonesian Women in Swimwear

A new photo book of Indonesian women in swimwear was already launched and is now available in book stores. Titled “niconico mare – Swimwear in the Archipelago,” this book displays the beauty of woman in sweamwear designed by Nico Genze. Most of the photographs were mostly taken by Adimodel.

Launched on June 11 in Jakarta, the book is a compilation of the “niconico” swimwear photos for the last seven years. They are portfolios from magazines, advertisements, catalogues, and some especially taken for this publication.

“Being of German descent but of Indonesian soul, Nico has effortlessly combined subtle Indonesian motifs with his original swimwear designs,” says Aman Khan, a friend of Nico Genze, in his introductory note.

The production of the book was in cooperation with Fashion TV, and you can see the clip on that TV channel. The Indonesian female models involved in the book are Indah Kalalo, Alanys, Putri Farmer, Aline, Daniella, Sabina, Tiara Lestari, and others.

The “niconico mare – Swimwear in the Archipelago” is now available at niconico store in Jakarta (Dharmawangsa Square) and Bali (Jl Raya Seminyak 13), and other book stores like Kinokuniya, Periplus, Gunung Agung (certain stores), and Gramedia (certain stores). The proceeds from the book will be donated to an orphanage in Bali.
